Land Cruiser Lighting — Generation Guide
The Land Cruiser lighting system changed significantly across generations. Below is an overview of the models we focus on:
FJ40 / BJ40 (1960–1983) — Round Sealed Beam
The FJ40 and BJ40 use the iconic round 5¾" sealed beam headlights — the same unit found on many classic vehicles of the era. These units are available in both halogen and LED versions. The separate front indicators are a common wear item, and the rear light assembly is notoriously difficult to source as a complete unit. We stock or can source headlights, indicators and rear light components for these models.
FJ55 (1967–1980) — Station Wagon Lighting
The FJ55 station wagon uses rectangular headlights and a distinctive rear light assembly specific to the wagon body. Original rear light lenses are hard to find and often cracked. We are expanding our range with tail light sets and front lighting for this model.
FJ60 / BJ60 (1981–1987) — Rectangular Headlights
The FJ60 series transitioned to rectangular H4 headlights and modernised rear lighting. These are more widely available, but quality varies. We focus on reliable OE-quality alternatives for both headlights and rear lighting on the FJ60 series.
