Brake discs for Chevrolet — Camaro, Corvette, Blazer and more

Few brands carry the weight of American automotive history like Chevrolet. From the muscle-car era of the Camaro and Corvette to the rugged utility of the K5 Blazer, these cars have earned devoted followings on both sides of the Atlantic. Tomaxclassics supplies brake discs for American Chevrolet classics as well as the European Chevrolet range, from trusted suppliers including EBC, Raybestos, ATE and TRW.

Classic and muscle car models

Chevrolet Camaro (3rd and 4th generation)

The F-body Camaro of the 1980s and 1990s is one of the most iconic American sports cars of its era. The 3rd generation (1982–1992) and 4th generation (1993–2002) both use large vented front disc brakes, with rear discs on higher-specification variants such as the Z28, IROC-Z and SS. Brake disc quality matters on these cars — they're heavy, fast and often driven hard at events.

• 3rd gen (1982–1992): front vented discs; Z28/IROC-Z with rear discs

• 4th gen (1993–2002): front and rear vented discs standard on Z28/SS

• Suppliers: EBC, Raybestos, Beck Arnley

Chevrolet Corvette C3 and C4

The Corvette has run four-wheel disc brakes since 1965. The C3 (1968–1982) uses 11-inch front and 11.75-inch rear rotors in a classic configuration that is well supported by the aftermarket. The C4 (1984–1996) stepped up the brake package further, with the ZR-1 variant receiving additional braking upgrades. Replacement discs for both generations are available from quality suppliers.

• C3 (1968–1982): 11" front / 11.75" rear solid rotors

• C4 (1984–1996): vented discs front and rear; ZR-1 with uprated package

• Suppliers: EBC, Raybestos, AC Delco

Chevrolet K5 Blazer

The full-size K5 Blazer (1969–1994) is a classic American 4x4 that has seen growing interest as a restoration target. Most configurations run front disc brakes with rear drums, using large-diameter front rotors of 11 to 12 inches. Replacement discs are available for the most common disc-brake configurations.

• K5 Blazer: front vented discs (11"–12"), rear drums

European Chevrolet models

Chevrolet Cruze, Aveo and Captiva

The European Chevrolet range (sold in the Netherlands from 2004 to 2015) includes the Cruze saloon and estate, the Aveo (T200/T250/T300) city car and the Captiva SUV. These models are well supported by mainstream European aftermarket suppliers. Brake discs for these models are available from ATE, TRW and Bosch.

• Cruze (2009–2016): front vented discs, rear solid or vented

• Aveo T200/T250/T300: solid front discs, rear drums

• Captiva (2006–2018): front vented discs, rear solid discs
