Classic Skodas before the Volkswagen takeover (pre-1991) feature rear-mounted air-cooled engines — the Estelle and 1000MB are unique cars. The Jikov carburettor on these models is a specific Czech product rarely found outside specialist channels. The Skoda Favorit and Felicia (1987–2001) use a more common Pierburg or Weber carburettor.
