Nissan Drivetrain Parts — Classic Micra, Sunny, Bluebird, Patrol & Datsun

Whether you're restoring a Micra K10, keeping a Bluebird on the road or rebuilding a Patrol's front axle, the drivetrain is where power meets the tarmac. Tomaxclassics supplies drivetrain parts for classic and vintage Nissans — from the original Datsun era to the last of the air-cooled Micras — with a focus on quality and correct fitment.

What's in the Nissan Drivetrain category?

• Drive shafts (front, left and right) — the most frequently replaced drivetrain item

• CV joints (inner and outer) — the flex points at each end of the drive shaft

• CV boots / gaiter kits — protect the CV joint; replace at the first sign of cracking

• Propshaft — for Patrol K160 / Y60 4WD variants with transfer case

• Intermediate shafts — used on some K11 Micra and Bluebird variants to equalise shaft length

💡 Platform sharing: Micra K12 / Note / Juke = Renault B-platform

The Nissan Micra K12 (2003–2010), Note E11 (2006–2013) and Juke F15 (2010–2019) share the Renault-Nissan B-platform with the Renault Clio III, Clio IV, Modus and Captur. Drive shaft cross-references exist — meaning a wider choice of suppliers and often lower prices due to higher Renault production volumes. The Micra K10 and K11 use purely Nissan platforms with no Renault parts sharing.

Classic Nissan models covered

Micra K10 (1982–1992) & K11 (1992–2002)

The original Micra K10 is an increasingly rare classic with growing parts scarcity. The K11 is the most common classic Micra — a reliable city car now firmly in collector territory. We stock drive shafts and CV components for both generations.

Sunny B11 / B12 / B13 (1982–1995)

The Sunny range brought Japanese reliability to European roads in the 1980s and early 90s. Front-wheel-drive platform, straightforward drive shaft layout. Coverage from GSP and Lobro.

Bluebird U11 / U12 / U13 (1983–1996)

The Bluebird U12 introduced an early all-wheel-drive variant (SLX) — a rarity among 1980s European family cars. AWD variants require distinct front and rear drive shaft sets. FWD models use conventional front shafts.

Primera P10 / P11 (1990–2002)

A firm favourite in the Benelux classic scene. The Primera shares some drivetrain geometry with the Almera N15, broadening parts availability.

Patrol K160 / Y60 (1980–1997)

The Patrol's solid rear axle means the drivetrain layout differs significantly from the front-wheel-drive range. Front drive shafts apply to part-time 4WD variants; the propshaft is listed separately.

Datsun (120Y, 160J and earlier)

The Datsun era pre-dates the Nissan badge. Parts availability is limited — we are gradually expanding our Datsun-era drivetrain stock alongside the classic Nissan range.
