When do steering parts need replacing?
Common signs: the car pulls to one side, there is play in the steering wheel at speed, you hear a knocking or creaking from the front wheels when turning, or the tyres are wearing unevenly. If in doubt, have the steering parts checked by a classic car specialist or garage.
Always have a 4-wheel alignment done after replacing steering parts — especially on a restored classic car where the wheel alignment may have drifted over years of use or storage.
